Top 5 Festive Things To Do in December

We love winter at Fraser & Co, December is our favourite time of the year. London has so much to offer, plenty of exciting Christmastime activities to choose from. Especially after the confinement of the pandemic, we are delighted that most of our best-loved events are back this year. These are our Marketing Team's top picks:

1. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is a must! (19 November 2021-3 January 2022)
If you like your Christmas shopping with a side of rides, theatre shows, and even an ice rink (the largest outdoor rink in the UK), Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is a place not to be missed. Traditional wooden chalets sell jewellery, food and drink, toys, clothes, craft items and more. There are also ice sculpting workshops and a German-style Bavarian Village full of frothing steins and live music. Fantastic weekend entertainment for families and kids.

2. South Bank Winter Market (4 Nov-24 Dec)
Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without Christmas Markets. Fortunately, this year there are plenty of great venues to choose from, our favourite is the one in Southbank. There is something truly magical about walking on the lit-up riverside, drinking a glass of mulled wine, looking around the wooden chalets, tasting different street wood, soaking up the festive vibes.

3.Natural History Museum Ice Rink: (22 October - 16 January)
Experience the thrill of skating surrounded by fairy lights nestled in frost-covered trees, with the smell of mulled wine in the air. The ice rink at the Natural History Museum is open daily from 11:00-22:00 until the 16th of January. It is such great fun with friends and family. Children tickets are available from £8.80, adults from £12.65.

4. Christmas at Kew (until 9 Jan 2022)
Another wonderland we highly recommend visiting is Christmas at Kew 2021 at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew. If you are looking for after-dark events with a picture-perfect experience, Christmas at Kew hosts a trail through the famous botanic gardens, lit up with lights and spectacular projections.

5. The Nutcracker 23 November 2021 - 8 January 2022
If you love classical music and are thinking of going to the ballet this Christmas, there is an absolute classic. We highly recommend booking tickets for The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House. It is an unforgettable Christmas treat.
